This tree seemed to be hanging precariously over the water of a calm lake when I saw it one evening. I don’t know what it was that inspired me to make the image. I think it was just the seemingly playful nature of the tree, slowly stretching out through many years, as if on a dare from another tree to see just how far he could go without falling in.
