Across The River

It was a cold morning in early spring when I stood by the Colorado River and looked across to the far bank. It was wilder over there. You could tell by the dense thicket along the shoreline. You could tell by the cries of the Great blue heron drifting back across the water.

Here you can see the near and far shores with the river in between, reflecting the sunlight that was just peeking over the horizon.
