A Singular Sight

There’s an Audubon trail near where I live that’s home to endless subjects for my style of photography. The tree that became A Singular Sight, is one of them.

The scene was one of a lonely tree overlooking the river. But I saw a beauty in the loneliness and knew that from it, I could coax a feeling of strength and vibrancy out of it.

The piece was made by combining multiple exposures into one beautiful form. The blossoms that overlay the more stark branches of the tree are from the same group of trees that went into making Forbidden and Pink Blossoms, two of the other pieces in Phantasmagorical.
